Kinzie-Biehn Cemetery

Kinzie-Biehn Cemetery is located at 345 Mill Park Drive, Kitchener. It is located on land that formed part of the original farm of John Biehn, who came from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. John's son-in-law, Delman Kinzie, of Bucks County, later arrived in the area and established his homestead across the road from the cemetery. Today, the cemetery remains an important historic site with strong connections to the early settlement of the community.

The cemetery is located immediately adjacent to Doon Presbyterian Cemetery and backs onto a beautiful wooded area, creating a quiet and reflective setting. Its location and historic character make it a meaningful place of remembrance and an important part of the area’s cultural heritage.

For many years, the Kinzie family graciously served as caretakers of the cemetery. This role was first carried out by Gord Kinzie, and later by his son, Larry Kinzie, who cared for the cemetery from 1975, with the help of his sons. In 2022, the City of Kitchener assumed responsibility for maintenance of the cemetery, ensuring its continued care and preservation for future generations.

Kinzie-Biehn Cemetery is an active cemetery. No lots are available for sale, but burial services are conducted.
