Schedule: registration, butterfly pick up, refreshments and social time 1-2 p.m., opening caremony and prizes 2-2:30 p.m., butterfly release and Walk to Remeber through the cemetery.

The butterflies are tagged by Monarch Watch, an educational outreach program based at the University of Texas. Monarch Watch engages citizen scientists in large-scale research projects. The program produces real data related to conservation issues.

Proceeds from the sale of the butterflies for the butterfly release and walk will allow the BFO to continue offering community grief support to families through development and enhancement of programs and services.
